Look outside. It’s freezing cold and snowy. What to do? Usually January prompts resolutions, exercise regimes and mass sales shopping, but this year the weather has stopped all that.
Instead, we are being encouraged by TV big wigs to lock the door, wrap ourselves in a duvet and hold on to the TV remote as if it is the most important and precious thing in our lives ,as we endure an onslaught of reality TV gone mad!

From Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice, to So You Think You Can Dance and something on ITV about turning D-list pop stars into Z-list opera stars, you simply cannot get away from reality TV.
But do you want to? Has reality TV had its day? Or is watching Davina et al making fools of themselves on national television, the only thing you want to do on the cold and snowy nights of January?
